I recently had some personal challenges to deal with which have seriously impacted my approach to Tarot. Some things had gotten so difficult that I was afraid of getting any negative answer or warning of any kind when reading my cards. It would have been too much to take. So I stopped turning to the cards for myself for a few weeks. This had never happened before.
(Sometimes you’re just standing there. And even help feels like it might hurt. That’s okay. First of all, whenever you feel like that, let it all pass through you. But don’t let it take over. You’ll know when the time is right to reach for the deck again)
Eventually, I couldn’t stay away anymore and I needed to read my cards again. But I needed to protect myself from anything I was not ready to hear. So I worked on different ways to get guidance that would be purely practical and spreads that would be prediction-free.
I designed a couple of spreads that would help me take actions and decide what were the next steps I should take. By intentionally leaving out any prediction, I would just focus on my own responsibility and free will. As a result, I was feeling more in control.
Whether you recently pushed yourself too far or whatever brought you to this moment of uncertainty, there’s a way out and through. No matter what started it, you can count on Tarot to save the day.
That’s why I wanted to share this easy 4 cards spread with you. It will not give you any predictions – unless you decide otherwise.

What to Do Next Tarot Tutorial – General Spread
The spread is both general and precise. You’ll see when you try it 😉
Don’t focus on a topic or specific issue. Don’t think about your ex, your boss or your financial issues.
Relax entirely and try to let your mind go blank. Ideally, you should be only focusing on your breathing and the cards. Don’t talk (even in your mind). Listen.
Use the major arcana only for this reading. Shuffle the cards and lay them out in front of you. Pick 3 cards.
Do so as slow or as fast as you want and be sure to turn them only after you’ve picked all 3.
Lay and read the cards as follows:
CARD 1: Confront. It may be a person or problem. This card calls for action. Most likely, it should represent someone with whom you need to have a difficult but necessary discussion.
CARD 2: Settle. Whether you need to make peace with something in your past or get rid of a negative flow in your life. If something needs to be settled, this card will tell you how to handle it
CARD 3: Let Go. A person or situation that needs to be cut off. Identify them and just let it go. It can be a version of the person or situation. You can decide to make a change. But don’t let the status quo hold you back.
CARD 4: Understand. This card should be the equivalent of a vision or epiphany. It should give you an instant visual message. Let it sink in. Meditate on it
Once again, make sure to read in a dedicated space where nothing will come to disturb you. Let your mind rest and relax during your reading and let the answers and messages come to you without expectations.
I hope this simple tutorial can help you like it helped me.
Enjoy. And don’t forget to take care of yourself.
